11 Months

Can you see the shock on Kate's face that I am over 2 weeks late writing her 11 month post?

We have been sooooo busy lately! We've had photo shoots, lots of guests, Thanksgiving and a wedding! And of course getting ready for Kate's 1st birthday and Christmas.

Here is a picture from our family photo shoot. There are more to come = )

I made sure to take some pictures when we were over at Grammy and Binks' house the other weekend since they seem to be absent from the blog!

Kate is getting more and more amazing every day. Here is what she is up to at 11 months...
-Letting go of things to stand by herself for short periods of time
- Talking up a storm! Her words are- Mama, Dada, Dog, Uh-Oh, Hi, Duck, All Done
- Clapping
- Doing "So Big!"
- Eating finger foods- turkey, cheese, green beans, blueberries, peaches, etc.
- Waving hi and bye
- Drinking water and cow's milk
- She LOVES books and can entertain herself reading for hours!
- Sleeping from 8 pm- 9 am
- Transitioning from 2 naps to 1 nap
I just can't believe she will be ONE in a few short weeks! I wish I could stop time just for a little bit and relish this age a little longer.

Kate's 1st Halloween

Kate's first Halloween was a success! She looked adorable and we got some great pictures. Because at this age that is really all that Halloween is about...

She was a black cat in case you couldn't tell.

Then we changed into PJ's and hung out with GiGi waiting for the Trick or Treaters to come!

Kate is officially the only person in the world who likes Dots!

If she only realized how it tastes once the wrappers are off...

It was a great 1st halloween and even though I'm excited for all the Halloweens to come full of trick or treating and candy, I will savor this low key one with my precious baby always!

Pumpkin Patch

This week we took Kate to the local Pumpkin Patch. She was a little overwhelmed by the wind and the large orange objects, so she wasn't too smiley. But I still think we got a few cute ones!

Randomness

Here is my cutie exploring the gameroom. We have decided that is the easiest room to babyproof and we can gate it off so that's our new hangout during the day.

Hung my cloth diapers out on my clothesline the other day and just thought they were so dang pretty I would take some pictures. Don't you agree?

10 Months

Here is a picture of my little 10 month old today! Two more months and she will be 1!!!

I laughed as I loaded these pictures today because the only pictures I've taken lately are of Kate getting into mischief! Needless to say my life is crazy with my busy little girl!

Getting ready to climb the stairs...

Crawling onto furniture!

Going through mommy's purse...

Eating money....
Here is what else Kate is doing at 10 months...
- Crawling everywhere!
- Pulling Up!
- Cruising
- Walking while you hold her hands
- Eating Finger Food (just cheerios, she won't put any other food in her mouth)
- Drinking from a straw
- Calling everything a "dog"
- Says "mamamamama" over and over when she is in distress
- Loves books (Peek a Who is her favorite)
- Loves Music and to "Dance" (that usually just involves kicking her feet really fast)
- Doesn't like getting her diaper changed
- Doesn't like shopping (not sure what that is about)
- Loves bathtime (Zac and I hate it because she is constantly trying to stand up)
She is so amazing and sweet! We just love her to pieces =)
I'm getting ready to host a bridal shower for my sister next week at my house and starting to prepare for the approaching holiday season! Life is busy but wonderful!!!

Big Ol' Blog Update

Ok so it's been almost a month since I've last updated and I'm really mad at myself! Kate turned 9 months old on Monday and it's hitting me that she is almost a year old. Where does the time go?

Kate is growing so fast and getting into everything. It's like the second they learn how to crawl they realize, Hey! There's this whole world I've been missing out on! It's so fun to watch her explore and discover things but it is definitely keeping us on our toes.

I'm loving staying at home with her and I've been going to a stroller exercise class for a few months, we have playdates and mom's night out. It's a very "mom" thing to do... I'm also going up to my old school to read to kids weekly and we are now finally attending a church regularly.

Zac is staying busy with work and perfecting his golf game on his free time.

The whole family is gearing up for Megan's (my sister) wedding in November. I'm so excited and happy for her!

Here's our two babies! Biggio looks thrilled doesn't he? He is so good with her. He lets her literally climb all over him.

One way we've found to contain Kate. Throw her in the laundry basket!

A little photo shoot before Church...

One of Kate's favorite activities, our daily walks.

Kate and her GiGi.

Showing off her crawling skills to Grammy and Binks.

Grammy pulled out a mirror and as you can see Kate is very vain!! She just loves to look at herself in the mirror!

We are still introducing lots of foods to Kate. Here is her first experience with blueberries... Notice that we kind of gave up on bibs and now we just strip her down!

If you look at the next few pictures you will see that I have ventured into the world of cloth diapering! A bunch of the moms in my Stroller Strides group do it and they convinced me that it was a great idea. Now most of my family including Zac looked at me like I was crazy but it's not like we're talking diaper pins and prefolds. As you can see by the pictures, cloth diapers have come a long way and are super easy and fun!

My good friend Susan came down from Abilene to visit again (we're trying to squeeze in a lot of visits before they move to South Dakota next year) and I managed to snap some cute pictures of Kate and David a.k.a Kate's future hubby..

Kate was harassing David while he was trying to hang out in the bouncer. Here they are both looking at the tv.

This looks like Kate is about to lay one on him!!!

Finally got them both to look at the camera. No smiles but hey what can you ask from a 9 month old and a 4 month old?

Hope everyone is doing well! Thanks for stopping by =)
