We're finally starting to feel caught up and back to normal after our Christmas holiday. We had a great time with all our family and while Kate didn't fully understand what was going on she definitely enjoyed all her new toys. The breakdown of our holiday was... Christmas Eve with my family, Christmas day at Zac's mom and stepdads house, drove to Kerrville and saw Granddad Forbus, drove to Odessa and stayed with Zac's dad and stepmom, went to Gramps' 90th birthday party, saw Erin, Barry and the girls in Midland and then drove to Abilene to spend a few days with the Slinkards. It was quite a whirlwind but so good to see everyone! Enjoy the pictures.

Happy Birthday Kate!
Our Sweet Kate,
This past year has been so filled with joy and happiness. We are so blessed to have you in our life. You have truly made us a family, you have made us want to be better people and you are the most amazing gift we've ever been given.
You are so smart and beautiful and amazing and have shown us what real love is. We can't wait to see what life has in store for you, although we sometimes wish we could freeze time and keep you our little one year old forever.
We hope that you will always know and never forget how much we love you.

Winter ONEderland
This weekend Kate had her 1st Birthday Party. It was a Winter ONEderland party, get it? Cause she's turning ONE! Cheesy but cute!
We decked the house out in Winter/Christmas decor and lots of family and friends came over to celebrate the important milestone.
Kate was so good and I think she actually enjoyed the party, which is the whole point isn't it?

Professional Family Photos
Ok so now that the Christmas Cards have been mailed out and everyone saw Kate in her adorable albeit over-the-top Birthday Outfit, I can post our professional family photos. My sister's fabulous wedding photographer and a former high school classmate of mine took them. You can see the rest of her work here. She did a marvelous job although Kate was not fully cooperating and was pretty much refusing to look at the camera and smile at the same time. Anyways here are some of my faves... Enjoy!
