10 Months

Here is a picture of my little 10 month old today! Two more months and she will be 1!!!

I laughed as I loaded these pictures today because the only pictures I've taken lately are of Kate getting into mischief! Needless to say my life is crazy with my busy little girl!

Getting ready to climb the stairs...

Crawling onto furniture!

Going through mommy's purse...

Eating money....
Here is what else Kate is doing at 10 months...
- Crawling everywhere!
- Pulling Up!
- Cruising
- Walking while you hold her hands
- Eating Finger Food (just cheerios, she won't put any other food in her mouth)
- Drinking from a straw
- Calling everything a "dog"
- Says "mamamamama" over and over when she is in distress
- Loves books (Peek a Who is her favorite)
- Loves Music and to "Dance" (that usually just involves kicking her feet really fast)
- Doesn't like getting her diaper changed
- Doesn't like shopping (not sure what that is about)
- Loves bathtime (Zac and I hate it because she is constantly trying to stand up)
She is so amazing and sweet! We just love her to pieces =)
I'm getting ready to host a bridal shower for my sister next week at my house and starting to prepare for the approaching holiday season! Life is busy but wonderful!!!

Big Ol' Blog Update

Ok so it's been almost a month since I've last updated and I'm really mad at myself! Kate turned 9 months old on Monday and it's hitting me that she is almost a year old. Where does the time go?

Kate is growing so fast and getting into everything. It's like the second they learn how to crawl they realize, Hey! There's this whole world I've been missing out on! It's so fun to watch her explore and discover things but it is definitely keeping us on our toes.

I'm loving staying at home with her and I've been going to a stroller exercise class for a few months, we have playdates and mom's night out. It's a very "mom" thing to do... I'm also going up to my old school to read to kids weekly and we are now finally attending a church regularly.

Zac is staying busy with work and perfecting his golf game on his free time.

The whole family is gearing up for Megan's (my sister) wedding in November. I'm so excited and happy for her!

Here's our two babies! Biggio looks thrilled doesn't he? He is so good with her. He lets her literally climb all over him.

One way we've found to contain Kate. Throw her in the laundry basket!

A little photo shoot before Church...

One of Kate's favorite activities, our daily walks.

Kate and her GiGi.

Showing off her crawling skills to Grammy and Binks.

Grammy pulled out a mirror and as you can see Kate is very vain!! She just loves to look at herself in the mirror!

We are still introducing lots of foods to Kate. Here is her first experience with blueberries... Notice that we kind of gave up on bibs and now we just strip her down!

If you look at the next few pictures you will see that I have ventured into the world of cloth diapering! A bunch of the moms in my Stroller Strides group do it and they convinced me that it was a great idea. Now most of my family including Zac looked at me like I was crazy but it's not like we're talking diaper pins and prefolds. As you can see by the pictures, cloth diapers have come a long way and are super easy and fun!

My good friend Susan came down from Abilene to visit again (we're trying to squeeze in a lot of visits before they move to South Dakota next year) and I managed to snap some cute pictures of Kate and David a.k.a Kate's future hubby..

Kate was harassing David while he was trying to hang out in the bouncer. Here they are both looking at the tv.

This looks like Kate is about to lay one on him!!!

Finally got them both to look at the camera. No smiles but hey what can you ask from a 9 month old and a 4 month old?

Hope everyone is doing well! Thanks for stopping by =)

Houston, We Have a Crawler!

The day after I posted that Kate wasn't crawling (Thursday Aug 20) she decided to make me a liar! Now she is EVERYWHERE! We are really needing to baby proof the house ASAP!

8 months

I just can't believe Kate is 8 months old! She is growing up so fast. I am excited for all the milestones to come but I will miss these baby days!

Here is what's been going on lately...

The Slinkard Family came to visit and here is me, Kate and my favorite white haired girly Reagan!

These pictures are from Destin back in July but I just got them from Susan.

Happy 4th of July!

Family portrait at my sister's birthday breakfast.

Kate and her Daddy!

We finally went to our neighborhood pool after living here for 2 years! I think Kate is definitely going to be a swimmer. Next summer she will take lessons for sure!

About 2 weeks ago, August 6th to be exact, I heard Kate crying after I had put her down for her nap. I went over to check it out on the video monitor and I saw Kate standing up. I grabbed my camera and ran upstairs. As you can tell by the pictures she was not happy! But now she just loves to pull up on everything. She is also rolling everywhere and soooo close to crawling. I knew she'd be a late crawler (she hated tummy time, was late rolling over and I never crawled as a baby) so if she actually crawls in the 8th month I'll be pleasantly surprised.

I'm trying to capture some of Kate's funny personality on video but she never performs! I'll hopefully upload some soon.
Thanks for stopping by!

Extra Treat!

Whoa! 2 posts in one day? Don't worry this one is short and sweet.
I took these pictures this weekend just because I thought she looked so dang cute! Don't you agree?

Fit For A Princess

Here are the promised Nursery pics. I love the way it turned out but I need to hang more stuff!

Her extensive bow collection. You gotta do something with that hair!

Cute little nightlight that one of my friends gave me. Matches perfectly!

Lots of laundry happens with this little one around!

Her bedding up close

Her closet with lots of clothes and a cute pink dresser from IKEA

This bookshelf is already overflowing with books and toys. We'll have to move some out into the Gameroom pretty soon.

Dresser, def need to hang something over that!

The Glider with pillow that matches the bedding

My favorite! The beautiful crib.

Plaques that Aunt Megan bought! I wanted to do something different besides wooden letters.

Thanks for checking back =)
On a side note, SOOOOOOO glad I am not having to return to work in 2.5 weeks!
